four four is an Amsterdam-based publisher with a focus on art, design, photography and architecture, founded in 2026 by graphic designers Isa Defesche and Joris Ten Bosch.

In close collaboration with authors, artists, designers, printers and bookbinders, we
approach the making of each book as an opportunity for research and experimentation.
In this process, we carefully bring together content, design and tactility. In an increasingly digital world, we believe in the value of the physical book. A place for attention, reflection and deeper engagement with artistic, social and societal themes.

Projects that originate from a personal fascination, critical question or artistic necessity, and leaves room for further development. We encourage both, ideas in an early stage as well as more developed concepts.
